Abner Martin Obituary, Death – On Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at the age of 74 years, Mr. Martin, Abner H. passed away at Grand River Hospital. He is the cherished father of Elverne Martin of Listowel, who is married to Ruthanne Martin; Rhoda Martin of Linwood; Eric Martin of Listowel, who is married to Janelle Martin; Myrna Bauman of Drayton; and Arnie Martin of Hesson, who is married to Anita Martin.
Beloved grandfather to Anika, Owen, Alex, and Brett Martin; Max (Beth), Laura, Jaydin, and Tyrone Martin; Damian, Mariah, and Ian Martin; Cody, Caleb, Damaris, and Deena Bauman; and Max (Beth), Laura, Jaydin, and Tyrone Martin. Abner is also the doting great-grandfather of Kaiden Martin, making him a very special family member. Seleda Martin, Eldon Martin (who was married to Florence), Orlan Martin (who was married to Sharon), and Elsie Martin Bowman (who was married to Merle) also remember him.
His parents Aaron and Salome (Horst) Martin, as well as his wife Almeda (who passed away on July 25, 2022), his granddaughter Daina Martin, his brother-in-law John Metzger and his sister-in-law Mary Metzger, all preceded him in death. On Thursday, December 8, 2022, visitation will be conducted from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Woodlawn Mennonite Fellowship, which is located at 6449 Wellington Road 11, Dorking. On Friday, December 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., there will be a funeral service held at Woodlawn Mennonite Fellowship. The burial will take place after the service at Hillside Cemetery, which is located at 3210 Boomer Line, RR 1, St. Clements.

All of you made a significant impact on Abner’s quality of life during his final days.
