Adam Baillargeon Obituary, Death – Baillargeon passed away peacefully in the company of his family in the warmth and comfort of their own home. He was one of seven children to the late Armand Baillargeon and Julia B. Baillargeon. He was born in Burlington on July 6th, 1948. He tied the knot with Wanda L. Morris on the 23rd of August, 1969, in the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Burlington; she is the one who outlived him.
After receiving his education in Essex, he moved to the United States. Army in 1966 and was discharged with honor in 1969 after serving for four years. After spending a good portion of his working life in manufacturing, he later switched to the security industry and stayed there until his illness forced him into retirement.
He was a very active member of the Boy Scouts of America, having served for 25 years with St. Joseph’s Pack # 615 and then becoming a founding member of St. Albans Cub Pack #87. His tenure with St. Joseph’s Pack # 615 lasted for a total of 615 years. He was an AA sponsor for a good number of years and was very involved with the Foster Parent Program of Franklin County for a period of ten years.
He was known to his family as the “Last Minute Adventurer” and was very proud of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and grand doggers. He was an avid bowler, loved snowmobiling, and playing cards; however, his greatest enjoyment was being with his family on camping trips. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and grand doggers.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wanda; their children, Bonnie Allen (Matt), of East Montpelier, Jason Baillargeon (June), of Milton, and Brandy Welsh (Tom), of Tucson, Arizona; his precious grandchildren, Keisha Pollard (Adam Lloyd), Victoria Pollard (Conner Wright), Kohl Pollard, William Pollard, II, John- Christian Allen, Peyton Allen, Alexxander Allen, Stacy Bessette (Craig), Samantha Sea
In addition, he is survived by his sisters, Jeanne Wescott (Russell) of Essex Junction, Leona Nichols of St. Albans, Pauline O’Connor (Rod) of Essex, and Janet Bean (David) of Williston; his in-laws, Richard Morris (Cathy) of Montana and Sharyn Pinard (Ron) of Williston; and a large number of nieces and nephews. Dan was born in Essex Junction, Vermont.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother Armand Baillargeon and his sister Loretta Trepanier. His grandparents also passed away before him.
