Andrew Lawrence Obituary, Death – Andrew Lawrence, 40, a resident of Benton Harbor, Michigan, died on December 5, 2022, at his home. On April 27, 1982, in the city of St. Joseph, Michigan, Andrew Robert Lawrence was brought into the world by his parents, Robert and Joyce (Fortenbacher) Lawrence. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in the year 2000 and was awarded a diploma there. His undergraduate studies were completed at Western Michigan University, and he went on to earn his master’s degree from The Grand Canyon University of Phoenix, which is a for-profit institution with its main campus in Colorado.
Andrew was a history teacher at Countryside Academy for a number of years during his career. He ran in a wide variety of competitions, including full and half marathons, as well as other types of races. In addition to the enthusiasm he had for running, he reveled in the experience of listening to music. Andrew is survived by his parents, Robert and Joyce Lawrence; his sister Katie (Josh) Smith; his brother Robert “Rob” Lawrence Jr. (fiancĂ©e Melissa Moore); his niece Langlei Smith; his nephew Carter Smith; his aunt Jane (Warren) Hughes; and his uncles Kenneth Fortenbacher and William (Lee) Lawrence. Also surviving Andrew are his grandparents, Robert and Joyce Lawrence; his sister Katie (Josh) Smith; his brother Robert “Rob” Lawrence Jr.; Andrew passed away on September 15, 2018, after a battle with cancer.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service in St. Joseph, which is located at 2650 Niles Rd. The officiant for the service will be pastor Michael Roth. Beginning at five o’clock in the evening, guests are more than welcome to stop by. until Thursday evening at six o’clock, when the visitation will resume at the funeral home.
