Chun Chiu Obituary, Death – We are writing to inform you of the demise of our colleague and friend, Chun Chiu (Gene) Luk, who died away on November 24, 2022. It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we share this news with you. Gene went away with his family and friends surrounding him at his bedside. We are all going to miss him more than we can adequately put into words. Gene was undeniably the most charitable and giving of all persons, and he had an impact on the lives of a great number of others. Gene’s career as a stylist, which spanned more than 43 years and ended in July 2022 when he retired, was marked by an extraordinary amount of enthusiasm and talent. His talent was truly amazing, and he never failed to inspire both his staff and his customers with his constant creative output.
Everyone was awestruck by his ability, particularly the attention to detail that he displayed on each and every head of hair that he worked on. He never stopped going out of his way to assist people and had an instinctive ability to impart knowledge to everyone else in his immediate environment. What a wonderful present Jesus provided to everyone of us. He was like a father figure and a guide to many of us who had the privilege to work alongside him, and we felt very much like he was a member of our family. He never failed to ensure that all of us had lunch as well as an abundance of tasty snacks.
He had a genuine appreciation for tasty cuisine, and it caused him a great deal of pleasure to share that appreciation with others. Gene was able to bring us all together and bring a lot of laughter into our lives thanks to his fantastic sense of humor. He also took great pleasure in making each of us feel unique and cared for, even when we were not in the Salon. We have so many wonderful memories that we have shared with one another, and whenever any of us think about Gene, it is with a deep sense of affection and gratitude.
At 11:30 in the morning on December 28, 2022, there will be a Public Graveside Service held at the Greenwood Memorial Park Funeral Home located at 350 Monroe Avenue NE in Renton, Washington.
