Connie Powell Obituary, Death – Connie Mae Powell, age 85, a resident of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, at her residence in the presence of her loved ones. A memorial service will be held on the chapel stage at Jones Harkins Funeral Home in the afternoon of Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 2:00 o’clock. It will be Bain Durant who acts as the official. Connie Bloxham was brought into the world by her parents, Pauline (Adams) Bloxham and William Morris Bloxham, Jr., on October 12, 1937 in the county of Latimer.
Connie earned her high school certificate from Mira Costa High School in Redondo Beach, California. Mira Costa is located in the state of California. Raymond Albert Powell became Connie’s husband on July 13, 1957, and the ceremony took place in Latimer County, Oklahoma. Connie was a licensed real estate broker and had earned an associate’s degree in real estate from Eastern State College. She taught real estate and income tax at Eastern State College from 1980 to 1985. Her tenure there spanned the years 1980-1985.
Together with her husband Ray, she frequently found joy in driving throughout the country in their motor home. Both crocheting and golf were hobbies that Connie adored. She became famous around the Christmas season for the exceptional banana bread and chocolate chip cookies that she baked. Connie will be missed because of the concern and compassion she demonstrated toward people and animals all over the world.
Connie is survived by her daughter Paula Vinzetta and her fiance Dale Ellerbe of Canadian, as well as her son Craig Powell and his wife Charlotte of Wilburton. She also leaves behind her nine grandchildren: Jennifer Morris of Moyers, Brooke Miller of Wilburton, Logan Powell and his wife Laura of Ada, Brian Menasco of McAlester, Roy Chance Menasco and Lauren of Roland, Travis Powell and his wife Amy of Wilburton, Ross Mills and his wife Autumn of Houston
