Delphyne Garetto Obituary, Death – Delphyne Rae Garetto, a resident of Wanatah, passed away unexpectedly on November 30th, 2022, when she was 51 years old. In Blue Island, Illinois, on the 15th of May, 1971, her parents, Donald and Barbara (Cherest) Garetto, gave birth to their daughter via caesarean section. After receiving his diploma from Bloom Trail High School in Chicago Heights, Illinois, Del went on to establish a fruitful career as a delivery driver for various auto parts suppliers in Northwest Indiana. This allowed Del to amass a significant amount of success in his professional life.

Del was a die-hard fan of the NASCAR racing series. She never missed a Sunday of the race and never wavered in her support for her favorite driver, Kevin Harvick. Her attendance was as regular as the hands on a clock. When Kevin finally got the opportunity to meet Del, one of his most ardent fans, he presented him with a gift that consisted of some of his lug nuts. In addition to a great many other things, Del was an avid supporter of both unicorns and the Chicago White Sox. She was well known for having thick, red hair as well as a vibrant disposition. Her reputation preceded her.

Del’s excellent sense of humor and her generous attitude will be the things that people remember most about her. The loving and thoughtful person that she was as a mother, daughter, sister, and aunt will be sorely missed by all of her surviving members of the family.
She is survived by her father Donald Garetto, her son Justin Garetto, who resides in Wanatah, her father Donald Garetto, her siblings Donna (Marlo Panega) Garetto, Danny (Chrisy), Dawn (Rick) Sparger, and Deanna (Allen) Gorrell, Nathan Sornson, who was like a son to her, as well as a large number of devoted nieces, nephews, and great-n The woman who gave birth to Del, Barbara Gar

On the evening of Friday, December 9, 2022, from three until six o’clock in the evening, there will be a visitation held at the Wanatah Funeral Chapel, which is located at 309 North Main Street in Wanatah. The funeral service will begin at six o’clock in the evening and continue until midnight. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be offered in honor of Justin Garetto during the service that is being held.
