Derek Francis Obituary, Death – We are saddened to inform you that Derek Francis has passed away. He was a beloved family member and friend. On November 27, 2022, Dalyce, Kaylee, Lily, and Haze suffered the loss of their cherished husband, father, and best friend. Haze inherited his father’s quick wit and sense of humor, and Derek’s grandson Toby inherited his grandfather’s determination. Derek bestowed a beautiful voice on Kaylee, gave Lily strength and resolution, and gave Haze his father’s quick wit and sense of humor.
Above and beyond everything else, he gave them his enormous heart. Derek made everyone around him feel valued. He made us laugh, he was the first to lend a hand if we needed help, and most importantly, he brought people together through his love of music and ability to bring people together through his love of music.
There really are no words for losing you on Sunday. I could not have asked for a better husband, father for our kids, mushum to Toby and uncle to “the boys”. Your time with us was way to short and I know that you did everything you could to stay with us.
You blessed Kaylee with a voice, Lily with strength, Haze with a sense of humour and wit, Toby with determination but most of all they got your heart.
You loved your Toby time and updated pictures, you learned to love and enjoy your time at the rink with Haze as you basically lived there the last couple of years, and was at home at the rodeo’s with Lily.
I know you will be there making sure I get things looked after, pushing the kids to be their best self and loving us. ~ Dalyce Francis
