Don Ellery Obituary,  Death – The news of lifelong fan Don Ellery’s passing last week upset everyone associated with the Tiverton Town Football Club. He had long been a supporter of the group. By letting his friends and family know that we are thinking about them, we let them know that they are in our thoughts. Donald W. Ellery, 82, passed away peacefully at Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge on Monday, April 25, 2011. Along with his family, he was there. His loving relatives on both sides took care of him during his final hours. Before relocating to South Carolina, he lived in Middlesex, New Jersey, for the first sixteen years of his life.

In Orange, New Jersey, he was created. His most recent residence was Basking Ridge, which is located in South Carolina. In the course of his honorable service in the American Army during the Korean War, Mr. Ellery won the admiration of his colleagues and of his nation. After that, he worked as a regional manager for General Signal in Roseland, New Jersey, for the next 35 years of his career, retiring in 1994. He also spent that period attending retreats at the Loyola House of Retreat in Morristown, without skipping a single one in 50 years. He received an award in recognition of his steadfast dedication.

Donald has previously belonged to the Middlesex Elks and the Middlesex Rescue Squad in addition to his current membership in the American Legion Post 306 in Middlesex. He belongs to the American Legion as well. His family, friends, and everyone else who knew and loved him will sincerely miss the amazing husband, father, and grandfather he was. Everyone who knew and loved him will be affected by his passing. He liked to play golf in his free time. His sister Jacqueline Firges and his wife of 48 years, Ann Weir Ellery, both went away before he did in 2004 and 2010, respectively. In 2004, Ann Weir Ellery passed away. In 2010, Jacqueline Firges passed away. Maryann Ciampa and her husband James, who reside in Basking Ridge, and Kathy Frederickson and her husband Matt, who reside in Middlesex, are the only two surviving children.

Eight of their grandchildren—Robert, Matthew, Devin, Skylar, Ryan, and Abigail—remain in their care. Additionally, three boys—John, who resides in Middlesex, Michael, who resides in Brick, and Thomas, who resides in Los Gatos, California, with his wife Kimberley—are still living. One of the two daughters that lived is Basking Ridge residents Maryann Ciampa and her husband James.
