Doug Maclean Obituary, Death – The passing of Douglas MacLean took place on Sunday at the Saint John Regional Hospital, and it is with a great deal of heartbreak that the family is informing their friends and loved ones of the news. He was born to Edith MacLean, who was born in Saint John on the sixteenth of February, and the late Donald MacLean, who passed away at some point in the past. He is their son. He inherited his good looks from both of his parents.
During his entire time as an employee, Doug spent the entirety of twenty of those years working at the Ford Motor Plant. After that, he looked for work and eventually found it at Moosehead Breweries, where he remained until the year 2015, when he decided to retire earlier than planned. Doug was an enthusiast of classic cars, and he utilized a significant portion of his spare time to restore classic cars in the garage of his home. He was an avid follower of the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team in addition to being a member of the Mustang Club, which is a car club in the United States.
Everyone who had the privilege of being able to call Doug a friend will miss him deeply because he cherished the time he was able to spend with his family, particularly with his granddaughters. Doug’s passing will be deeply felt by all of those who were able to call Doug a friend. Doug is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 49 years, Pam (Abbott; they met in high school), his daughter Angela Craft (and her husband Andrew) of Saint John, his brother Bob MacLean (and his wife Dawn) of Nova Scotia, his granddaughters Lily, Eve, Julia, and Audrey, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and friends. Doug will be greatly missed by all. Doug passed away on April 15, 2019, after a battle with cancer. Doug’s daughter Lori and his sister Susan both passed away before he did, and the three of them have now found each other again in the afterlife alongside Doug’s mother and father.
