Douglas Larson Obituary, Death – Douglas “Doug” John Larson, age 53, of Cameron, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in Barron, Wisconsin, following a valiant fight against cancer that lasted for six months. His parents, Roger and Judith (Herricks) Larson, welcomed him into the world on December 11th, 1968 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Doug received his diploma from Cameron High School in 1987 and then continued his education at WITI in Rice Lake, where he earned a degree in Marketing in 1989. On September 17, 1994, he wed Lisa Lefebvre in Rice Lake. The ceremony took place there. For a good number of years, Doug was the sole proprietor of both D. Larson Construction and Larson Storage Properties.

Doug took pleasure in activities such as shooting deer, fishing, golfing, and carpentry. The thing that he enjoyed the most was acting as the “official family cheerleader and family photographer” while he watched Tyler and Lisa compete in local charity races. He also cherished the time he spent with his family and friends at their river property in Chetek, Wisconsin. Doug was a reserved individual who relished the opportunity to talk to each and every one. Many people will miss him, but his contributions to the building construction enterprise will be remembered for a very long time because of his brilliance.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Larson; a son, Tyler Larson; his father and stepmother, Roger and Janet Larson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Georgia Lefebvre; a sister, Stacy Liebrich; a nephew, Marty; a niece – Poppy; and a grandmother-in-law, Edith Todd. He was preceded in death by his mother, Roger Larson, and stepmother, Janet Larson His mother, Judith Larson, his brother-in-law Adam Liebrich, and his sister-in-law Paula Lefebvre all passed away before him. He was the only survivor of his immediate family.
On Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 7 o’clock, a Prayer Service will be performed at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with visitation taking place from 4 to 7 o’clock that same day at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals.
