Frank Routledge Obituary, Death – It is with deep sadness that we must notify you that longtime Ibis community member Frank Routledge passed away earlier today. Our hearts are filled with sadness at the news of his demise. It is with a heavy heart that we have to provide this information to you, but unfortunately, it is required. We humbly ask that you accept our condolences. In spite of the fact that we are passing on this information to you while feeling immense regret for what has taken place, we want you to know that during this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with you and that we are thinking of you and praying for you.
Because we believe that it is essential for you to be aware of this information, we are providing it to you here. Incredibly, Frank held the position of club secretary from the year 1950 all the way up until the year 2020, which is a span of time that encompasses the whole span of the 21st century. In 1950, he reported for duty for the first time. During that time, he radiated the utmost respect and elegance; in every sense of the term, he was the exemplar of what it means to be a genuine gentleman. He was the epitome of what it means to be a gentleman.
Frank’s tenure as club secretary came to a conclusion in the year 2020, marking the year 2020 as the year that represented the pinnacle of his time spent working in that role as club secretary. Unbelievably, Frank has served as the club secretary right here at this site for the length of the astounding span of seven decades that has elapsed since he first took up the role. Every individual who had the good fortune to know Frank will always look back on the time they spent with him with a feeling that is best characterized as a “warm and fuzzy.” This is because Frank was the kind of person who made everyone around him feel welcome and comfortable.
