Gen began her second career as a realtor with the Allen Tate office in Davidson, North Carolina, where she sold homes and shared her enthusiasm for the community with others. She called her husband every night, even when they weren’t together, to talk about their days and to say, “I love you.” She took on responsibilities even when she didn’t have to in order to make others happy.Gen enjoyed dry red wines and kept cheese in the refrigerator for snacks. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading murder mysteries, watching rom-coms and HGTV, and pampering herself with manicures and massages.
