Gene Atkinson Obituary, Death – We have to break the news to you with a heavy heart that Mr. Gene Atkinson has passed away. Please accept our condolences. On Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Mr. Atkinson’s family will be given the opportunity to pay their respects at the Norton Funeral Home and Crematory located in Norton, Massachusetts. An announcement regarding the graveside services that will be held at Florence National Cemetery will be made at a later time. These services will be held in Florence.
Gene, who had reached the age of 75 at the time of his passing, was surrounded by his family when he passed away at home on December 1, 2022. He had a prior history of service in the Air Force of the United States. Gene was not only the owner of the Country Barn Restaurant, but also the person in charge of running the establishment from 1992 until 2010. He was the type of person who would strike up a conversation with anyone and was known for his outgoing personality. In addition to that, he appreciated having a good time.
Geraldine W. Atkinson, his wife of 45 years and a current resident of Hartsville, his sons Michael Trey Atkinson and his wife Ashley and William F. Atkinson and his wife Renee, both of Hartsville; his grandchildren Lilly M. Braloski, Anna Kate Atkinson, Emma Atkinson, and Cameron Braloski; and Bill Gaskins, Andy Gaskins, and Ashley Gaskins, special friends of the family, are left to cherish his memory. Bill Atkinson was
