Mensch was born to Ralph and Ernestine Mensch on May 5, 1943, and they proudly welcomed him into the world. Mensch’s parents are Ralph and Ernestine Mensch, and Mensch is middle name. His early years were spent in Lake Forest, Illinois, and he completed his official education there, attending the public schools there. He spent his formative years in Lake Forest, Illinois. He developed the distinct traits that characterize his personality throughout this time. When he was still in his teenage years, Steve’s interest in architecture was piqued, and he quickly decided that it should be his main career. While Mensch was still in his teen years, this choice was made. Steve started his career as an architect before moving into the construction industry.

He studied at Cornell for four years, earning a Bachelor of Architecture. Mensch spent four years at Cornell University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s in architecture. His ultimate objective was to obtain a master’s degree in the pertinent discipline. Mensch was actively involved in Cornell’s architectural community as both a student and later as a professor. He became involved when he was still a student.
