Jacob Langley Obituary, Death – The name of a man who was found dead on November 25 following reports of a shooting that took place on that day was made public on Monday, December 1, by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office. The man’s body was discovered after reports of a shooting that took place on that day. On Monday, November 28, an autopsy was performed, and when it was finished, it was determined that the person who had passed away was a 22-year-old man named Jacob Langley, who was from the city of Colorado Springs. As the homicide investigation into Langley’s case continues, the Coroner’s Office will determine the cause of death as well as the manner in which she passed away. This will be done in conjunction with the determination of how she died.

Officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) were sent to the 3300 block of Knoll Lane on Friday, just before 3:30 p.m., in response to a shooting that had taken place in that location. When officers arrived, they searched the area and found Langley. They took him to the hospital, but he could not recover from his injuries and ended up passing away while he was there. The suspect voluntarily presented himself to law enforcement, as stated by the CSPD’s patrol units, who were successful in their mission. It has been reported by the police that the suspect and the victim knew each other prior to the incident.

According to the Cold Spring Police Department, there are no other people who could be considered suspects in connection with the investigation.  As of the previous Friday, the suspect had not been formally charged with anything related to the incident. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Langley is the 49th homicide case that has been reported in the city of Colorado Springs in 2022. The CSPD had been called out to investigate a total of forty homicides during the same general time period in 2021.
