Jennifer Torgerson Obituary, Death – On the evening of Friday, September 27th, Torgerson, who was 67 years old, passed away at the Good Samaritan Society in Arlington. On August 3, 1952, Lynda was brought into this world in Gaylord. She was Eli and Virginia (Trebelhorn) Bengson’s firstborn child and their first child overall. On September 7, 1952, Lynda was christened at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop, and three years later, on May 29, 1966, she was confirmed in her Christian beliefs. She attended the local school in Winthrop, where she also resided, up to her junior year.

In October of 1968, she and her family made the move to Litchfield, and she attended and eventually graduated from Litchfield High School in 1970. She attended the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield for her training to become a Radiology Technician. She began a romantic relationship with Paul Torgerson in 1973, and on August 21, 1976, they tied the knot at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. They were married for a total of 39 years. Their first child, Jennifer, was born in 1982, and then their second child, Katie, arrived not long after that in 1984.

Because Lynda was such a wonderful mother, many of the friends of her girls’ considered her to be a second mother to them. She had an open door policy and was available at all times for any of her family members or friends who required assistance. Torgerson never stopped saying how fortunate she felt to have such a large number of friends and relatives who loved her so deeply.

She is survived by her four daughters, Patrice O’Hanlon of Minneapolis, Jennifer (Jason) Quast of Arlington, Kathryn (Kraig) Husfeldt of Gaylord, and Chrissy Haggenmiller of Arlington; her eight grandchildren, Mackenzie and Molly O’Hanlon, Isabelle Kamps and Kiley Quast, Mason and Lucas Husfeldt, and Morgan and Paige Haggenmiller; her one great-granddaught

Her parents Eli and Virginia Bengson, her husband Paul Torgerson, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Floyd and Gertrude Torgerson, her brother-in-law Larry Torgerson, her niece Stephanie Sipprell, as well as her grandparents, aunts, and uncles, all passed away before her. Her husband Paul Torgerson also passed away.
