After being accused by the police of pointing a rifle at a Williamson County Sheriff’s deputy, Fowler was found to be unresponsive at the scene and later pronounced dead there. According to the information provided by the sheriff’s office, the deputy was sent to the location at approximately 12:45 in the morning. this coming Wednesday, December 7, for the purpose of performing maintenance on Devils Fork Road, which can be found in rural Carbondale.

Fowler was later identified as the person who approached the deputy upon his arrival, and it was reported that he did so as the deputy was exiting his patrol vehicle. This information was obtained through further investigation. According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Fowler displayed that he was holding a rifle as he got closer and closer to the deputy as he continued to approach him. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said this happened as Fowler continued to approach the deputy.

The sheriff’s office claims that as the deputy approached Fowler, Fowler pointed the gun at the deputy, which prompted the deputy to fire his weapon at Fowler. Fowler was then shot and killed by the deputy. At the hospital, Fowler’s death was confirmed by medical staff.
