Jerry Kelley Obituary, Death – Jerry R. Kelley, who resided in Carleton, Michigan, passed away on December 8, 2022 at the age of 87 at the Medilodge of Monroe in Monroe, Michigan. Jerry R. Kelley was a resident of Carleton, Michigan. The 6th of August, 1935 saw the beginning of life for this individual in Fairmont, West Virginia. After completing his high school education and receiving his diploma, he received a football scholarship to attend Glenville State College. After that, he decided to enroll at Wesley College and eventually earned a degree there. While he was still in school, he married Mary Jane McPherson, the lady with whom he would spend the remainder of his life.
They have two children together. They were married for 58 years and shared many joyful years together as a couple till she passed away in 2017. As a direct consequence of their union, they were blessed with the arrival of four more family members: Robert, Deborah, Ronald, and Michael. After serving in the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps for a period of time, he was ultimately called up for active duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After that, he joined Ford Motor Company as a scientist and began working in Dearborn, which is located in the state of Michigan. Following a dedicated career spanning 34 years, he ultimately made the decision to hang up his boots and retire.
Because Jerry was such an avid hunter, fisherman, and athlete who competed in a wide variety of sports, he was able to have a great deal of fun throughout his life. You could typically hear him yelling his approval for the West Virginia football teams that were competing in the games he most enjoyed watching. In addition to both of his parents and two of his brothers, his wife Mary Jane, their daughter Deborah, and both of his parents all passed away before he did. His three children, Robert Kelley, who is married to Linda, Ronald Kelley, who is married to Pam, and Michael Kelley, who is married to Laura, will carry on his legacy after he passes away. She has a number of siblings, including her sister Joanne Simmons, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a big number of nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing held at the Carleton Chapel of the Bobcean Funeral Home on the afternoon of Monday, December 12, 2022, from one to four o’clock in the afternoon. The viewing will begin at one o’clock. Funeral Services will be held at Bobcean Funeral Home on Monday, December 12, 2022, at four o’clock in the afternoon. This date and time is subject to change. Pastor Mark Blake will serve as the celebrant and will preside over the event.
