Jesse Burns Obituary, Death – The body was found inside of the same shipping container where it had been there the week before. A positive identification of the deceased individual, Jesse Ray Burns Jr., who was 56 years old, was made possible thanks to the efforts of the law enforcement personnel who investigated the incident. The medical examiners determined that inhalation of smoke was the cause of death; as a result, this is the 95th homicide that has been committed in the city so far in 2018 as a direct result of a violent act. The cause of death was determined by the medical examiners.
In response to reports of a fire near a dock in the general vicinity of the grain terminal on November 27, around six o’clock in the evening, Portland Fire & Rescue was dispatched to the grain terminal located at 900 N. Thunderbird Way in the vicinity of the grain terminal. The fire was reported to have started near the grain terminal. Portland, Oregon serves as the host city for the grain terminal. Even after the fire was put out, the body of Burns, who had been killed in the blaze, was found by the firefighters inside the container where it had been stored. Burns had passed away as a result of the fire.
At this point, the authorities have not been able to identify or track down any individuals who could be considered suspects in the investigation. At this time, it is the responsibility of the Homicide Unit of the Portland Police Department to conduct the investigations that are currently being carried out.
