You are constantly on our minds and in our prayers. It was a calm and peaceful passing for Mr. Stewart earlier today, who was attended to by members of his family at the time of his passing. The “Memphis Sound” that he was instrumental in cultivating throughout the 1960s and 1970s as a savvy record executive and visionary producer is still audible and palpable in the music of today, despite the fact that his influence on soul music was immeasurable.
