Jody Lattanzo Obituary, Death – On November 28th, 2022, Jody L. Lattanzo, who lived in Connellsville and was 54 years old when she died away, was taken from this world. She was born on October 16, 1968, and her parents’ names are Harold Matthews and June (Albright) Matthews. Her birthday is October 16. Jody continued her education after finishing high school by enrolling at California University of Pennsylvania, where she eventually graduated and also earned her certification to teach. During her time at California University of Pennsylvania, Jody also earned her teaching certification.

Our club and our community lost a great member last night, Jody Lattanzo, our deepest sympathy goes out to her husband, her children, her parents, her siblings and everyone whose lives was touched by this amazing woman. She will surely be missed. Keep her family in everyone’s prayers Jody loved each and every one of her students at Bullskin Township Elementary School as if they were her own children. She treated them all with the same level of care and compassion. Jody was a teacher for the second grade. Going shopping for her children, her nephew, and her grandchild was Jody’s absolute favorite thing to do with any of her family members. Jody was an avid sports fan, and she spent a lot of time rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team that represented her hometown.

Jody is survived by her husband of 29 years, Michael “Bucky” Lattanzo; two sons, Joshua Matthews and girlfriend Amanda, and Lewis Lattanzo and wife Shawna; a daughter, Christina Lattanzo-Lint and husband Nickolas; granddaughter Layken Lattanzo; a brother, Jay Matthews and wife Michele; a sister Jaylee Matthews and husband Derek and their son Jordan; and a large number of nieces and nephews. Jody placed a higher value than anything else on the ties she had with her family and friends.

Her maternal grandmother, Margaret Hennessey, along with her paternal grandparents, Harold “Seedie” and Madeline “Susie” Matthews, all passed away before Jody was born. Her paternal grandfather was named Seedie. At the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, which is located at 123 S. First Street, West Side, Connellsville, Pennsylvania (724-628-9033), friends and family will have the opportunity to pay their respects on Thursday. That evening, the service will get underway at seven o’clock, and Pastor Lee Maley will be in charge of presiding over it.
