John Austin Obituary, Death – John Christian Austin, Jr., formerly of North Oaks, Minnesota and Palm Springs, California, passed away from pancreatic cancerĀ  in the comfort of his home in North Oaks, Minnesota. John Christian Austin, Jr. possessed prior experience as a resident of both of these localities. During his lifetime, John Christian Austin, Jr. called both of these locations home at various points in his life. It was widespread awareness that John possessed great aesthetic aptitude as a designer, and as a result of their interactions with him, a large number of John’s clients went on to become lifelong friends.

In addition, everybody knew that John was incredibly talented as an artist, particularly as a painter. This was common knowledge. John was extremely grateful for the opportunity to spend time with his three cherished dogs, Cole, Simon, and Porter. In addition, he treasured the time he was able to devote to activities such as throwing parties, going on vacations, working in his garden, listening to music, and spending time with his family, friends, and other people who were important to him.

During the months of spring and summer, Whitefish Lake, specifically the location of a cabin that had been in his family for more than sixty years, held a special place in his heart. John was an exceptional and one-of-a-kind brother who stood out from his other family members in a way that was truly remarkable. We are going to miss having him here with us as it has been a wonderful experience overall having him with us.

He is survived by his 14 sisters and brothers, among whom are the following: Ann Austin McCormick (Mac), Jane Austin McGrath (Terry), Barbara Bryce (Dave), Beck Austin, Chris Austin (Wendy), Kathryn Austin Stigge (John), Margaret Austin-Stephenson (Rick), Louise Austin, Martha Carlson (Gary), Mark Austin (Sue), Peter Austin (Chris Foss), Louie Austin, Sarah Austin, and Jeff Please
