Johnny Shelley Obituary, Death – Johnny Monroe Shelley, Sr., age 75, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Florence. He was surrounded by the loving members of his family at the time of his passing. At the Richardson Funeral Home on the afternoon of Saturday, December 10, 2022, at three o’clock in the afternoon, there will be a funeral service held for the deceased. After that, the interment will take place in the mausoleum that is located within Palmetto Memorial Gardens. One hour before the start of the service, the family will be present to meet and greet any friends who may be in attendance from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.

Mr. Shelley is the son of his deceased parents, Hoyt Shelley, Sr. and Capitola Murrow Shelley, both of whom had passed away before he was born. Mullins is the place of his birth. He was taken from this world before his time, along with his wife Brenda Boseman Shelley Shelley and his brother Hoyt Shelley Jr. After working for South Eastern Freight Lines for a number of years, he eventually decided to retire earlier than expected and pursue a career as a truck driver. In addition to this, he had served his country honourably in the United States Navy and was a veteran of that branch of service.
Those left behind include his sons, John M. Shelley, Jr. (Alicia) of Marion, South Carolina; Jason Shelley of Mandeville, Louisiana; and Jamie Shelley (Larry Altman) of North Augusta, South Carolina; brothers, James Shelley (Wanda) of Elgin, South Carolina and Morris Shelley (Hoa) of Havelock, North Carolina; sisters, Carolyn Stone of Johnsonville, South Carolina and Connie Shelley of Marion, South Carolina
