Joseph Incoronato Obituary, Death – In memory of Joseph Incoronato, a former member of the Dutchess County Legislature, County Executive Marc Molinaro has issued an order that all flags at county facilities are to be lowered to half-staff until further notice. Incoronato passed away earlier this week. Joseph Incoronato served for a very long time in the Dutchess County Legislature as a representative for both the town of Poughkeepsie and the town of Wappinger. County Executive Molinaro expressed his sadness at the news of Incoronato’s passing, saying, “We are saddened to learn of his passing.” Incoronato was a long-time employee of the county.
Joe was an elected official who strongly believed in the importance of providing service to the public and was a fervent supporter of the rights of taxpayers. In this way, he made certain that his constituents always had a say in the legislative actions that were taken, and he made it a point to keep his constituents informed by penning frequent letters to the editor and distributing newsletters. He never failed to share the perspectives of local residents. As a result, his constituents always had a voice in the legislative actions that were taken.
His approach, which was always forthright and had the potential to be caustic at times, could get him into trouble when he didn’t put enough thought into what he said, but he recognized when he was wrong and was willing to admit it, apologize for it, and learn from his mistakes. His approach was always outspoken and had the potential to be caustic at times. Given the level of maturity and decency displayed, that percentage of resource utilization is inexcusably low. We are sending our deepest condolences, as well as our thoughts and prayers, to Joe’s family and friends during this difficult time. Joe will be greatly missed by all of us.
