Joshua Chevalier Obituary, Death – A young man was reportedly killed on Sunday in Southington while he was driving. It appears that he was unable to maintain control of his vehicle and drove off the pavement, which led to his death. This information came from various policemen working for the local police agency. According to the Southington police department, at approximately 5:00 a.m., an officer from a neighboring department responded to the sound of screeching tires and the sound of a crash.

While the officer was examining the scene of the accident, he came across a single automobile that had run off the road and was now situated in a wooded area. He found this vehicle while he was checking the location of the incident. During the course of the officer’s investigation of the accident scene, he came across this vehicle and made a mental note of it. Law enforcement officers were able to determine that the vehicle in question had been going in the southbound lanes of Main Street when the driver, for whatever reason, became disoriented and drove off the road. This information was discovered by the officers.

In addition, in order to provide assistance with the predicament, the Southington Fire Department as well as an ambulance were dispatched to the location. This was done with the intention of being of aid. At the scene of the accident, it was determined that Joshua Ryan Chevalier, 18, from Southington was operating the car at the time of the collision; he was pronounced dead at the scene of the tragedy. Between Carter Lane and Maple Street on Sunday, the section of Main Street that is normally open to traffic was blocked off for the better part of the day, and it did not reopen to vehicles until the afternoon. Because to the ongoing construction, the road had to be shut down.
