Mark Doherty Obituary, Death – Mark Doherty, who had previously resided at 68 Thorndale in Letterkenny, Donegal County, Ireland, was found to have unexpectedly passed away in Portugal. He was found in Europe at the time. A devoted and treasured partner of Ann, as well as a devoted and treasured parent to Ciaran. Willie, his late father, and Harriette, Strabane, his mother, both passed away before he did. He was the youngest of three children.

All of his siblings, including his brothers Terry, Kevin, Liam, and Paul, as well as his sister Mary in Strabane and his sister Aileen in London, will be profoundly saddened by his passing. The McAlaney family will always think of Carrigart with the utmost regret in their hearts. His extended family, his neighbors, and his golfing friends all had fond memories of him. He was also well-liked in the community. I pray that God will grant him everlasting rest.

Mark’s mortal remains will be laid to rest at his family home in Thorndale beginning on Sunday, December 4th. The burial will take place in Umlagh Cemetery close to Carrigart following the funeral mass that will take place on Tuesday, December 6 at 11 am at the Church of the Irish Martyrs in Letterkenny.

On the YouTube channel run by the Church of the Irish Martyrs, there is a video of the funeral mass that was recently uploaded. https://youtube.com/channel/UCpLSBr8yKREiYYYnfVYbEWg Flowers from family only, please; if you’d like, you can make a donation to St. John of God’s and have it sent in the care of any member of the family instead of sending flowers.
