Mary Davis Obituary, Death – Mary E. AVIS, age 82, a resident of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Miami Valley Hospital South. She was taken there from her home in Ohio. Her parents, Floyd and Theresa Leporis, as well as her in-laws, Hubert and Susanne Davis, brothers-in-law Robert Glover, John Short, and James Ewing, and sisters-in-law Lois Glover and Barbara Davis, all passed away before she did. Her husband’s parents, Hubert and Susanne Davis, also died before she did. Michael J. Davis, the man she has been married to for the past 58 years, is the only person who will remember her. Teresa (Evan) Hay, Anna Davis, Madeline Cosler, Mitchell Cosler, Meredith Cosler, Zachary Davis, and Jacob Davis are some of her grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her four children as well as their spouses: Tony Davis (who is married to Debra), Maria Cosler, Michael A. Davis (who is married to Stephanie), and Christopher Davis (who is married to Diane).

Christopher Davis, who was to have been her husband, passed away before she did. She is also survived by two sisters, Virginia (Robert) Calcagni and Theresa Ewing, as well as a brother and sister-in-law, Hubert Davis and Sue Short. In addition, she was preceded in death by her parents. Hadley Hay, who is her great-granddaughter, is also a member of the group of people who are able to carry on her legacy. Up until the time she reached retirement, Mary served as a Branch secretary for the National Air Intelligent Center. In addition to that, she was a member of the Beavercreek Republican Women’s Club in addition to the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority that was located at Youngstown State University.

Friends and family are cordially invited to pay their respects to the deceased at the Beavercreek Chapel of The Tobias Funeral Home on the evening of Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 11 AM at St. Helen’s Parish, which can be found at 605 Granville Pl in Riverside, OH. The date and time of the event are yet to be determined. The burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery immediately after the conclusion of the Mass. In lieu of sending flowers or other traditional expressions of condolence, one may choose to make a donation to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society.
