Matt Silvestrini Obituary, Death – After learning of Officer Matt Silvestrini’s passing, the Middletown Police Department is in an unfathomable state of grief, and it is easy to see why. It is understandable why they would feel this way. Officer Silvestrini passed away quietly late yesterday evening in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by the people he loved the most. It is likely that the majority of you are aware that he fought a long and difficult battle against brain cancer. This is something that you probably already knew.
Officer Silvestrini devoted his life to helping the people in his community throughout its entirety. He never gave himself a second thought. He had a distinguished career in the United States Army, during which he served two tours of duty in Iraq, before he joined the New Haven Police Department in 2012. Prior to that, he was a member of the United States Army.
In addition to that, for a period of time he served as an officer for the New Haven Police Department. During his time with the Metropolitan Police Department, he worked in a variety of roles, including that of an instructor. He was a member of the Firearms Unit and the Emergency Response Team, both of which are components of the Metropolitan Police Department.
A defining characteristic of Matt’s personality was the fact that he attached a great deal of importance to his relationships with the people he cared about the most. He was a joyful and proud father to both of his lovely children, whom he had with his wife. He was also a happy and proud husband. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to everyone in the community who assisted us in our efforts to raise money for him on behalf of the Silvestrini family.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the community who assisted us in our efforts to raise money for him. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we ask that you accept our sincere apologies. It would mean a great deal to us if you could keep the Silvestrini family in your thoughts and prayers, especially as the winter holidays approach. We would be very grateful if you could do this.
I can’t thank you enough for taking my request into consideration. In spite of the fact that it breaks our hearts, the knowledge that Matt is no longer in pain brings us comfort…. Riding off into the distance toward the horizon in search of the next exhilarating experience that can be had.
