Nancy Zoccole Obituary, Death – Nancy Jean Zoccole, 79, of Youngstown, died Tuesday evening, November 29, 2022, surrounded by her family. Nancy will be remembered for her generosity, sense of humor, and compassion. She was born in Youngstown on April 13, 1943, the daughter of Harry and Alice (West) Woods, and had lived in the region her entire life. Nancy graduated from Chaney High School in 1961 and worked as a secretary for Jones Oxygen Company until she married and had children. She was a proud homemaker and matriarch for her family back then.
She always put them first and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Nancy went to work after raising her family and worked for Gasser Chair Company for over ten years before retiring in 1990. Nancy had a variety of interests throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, and playing scratch off lottery tickets at casinos. She enjoyed cheering for her favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Indians.
Nancy also looked forward to the Wooddale Village ladies getting together to play cards, go out to lunch, and go shopping. Nancy is survived by her two sons, Keith (Tami) Siefert of Howland and Eric (Jennifer) Siefert of Kinsman, as well as her three granddaughters, whom she adored. Rachel (Matt) Stein, Robbie Siefert, and Zoe (fiancé Nate Weiser) Siefert, her great granddaughter. Kensley is survived by her two sisters, Sue Corfios of Youngstown and Judy Brown of Austintown, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Nancy was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Edward Siefert, whom she married in June of 1964 and who died in December of 1979, and her second husband, Pasquale Zoccole, whom she married in June of 1991 and who died in December of 2009. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:55 a.m., with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m.
