Her parents, Feagin and Sallie Mae Bowden, her husband of 70 years, James A. Yarbrough, her son-in-law, John Duhaime, her brothers, Richard Bowden (Catherine), and Maylon Bowden, and her brother-in-law, Cliff Brunson, all died before her.

She was the sole survivor of her immediate family. Ollie Jo put a smile on everyone’s face and made them laugh. She was the type of person who never met a stranger and found beauty in the most unexpected places. She was fascinated by church spires and tree heights, and she often wondered if the farmers whose fields and pastures she passed through on her many journeys were aware of how many cows they had. Mrs. Yarbrough spent her final years in an assisted living facility, where she entertained the staff with her hilarious collection of age-old proverbs and jokes. She was devoted to her family, friends, and, most importantly, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Two daughters, Kay Duhaime and Pamela Jo Miller (Rick) survive, as do five grandchildren, Eric Duhaime (Erica), Emily Jo Hammack (Chris), Ivy Jo Thoennes (Jon), James Lindsey (Courtney), and Frank Lindsey; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Brunson and Mary Lunsford (Collis); sister-in-law, Janice Bowden; and a large number of relatives and friends Our family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to every member of the staff at Oak Landing Assisted Living and Gentiva Hospice for the compassionate and thoughtful care that they provided to our beloved mother.
