Pat Courtney Obituary, Death – This past week, the members of the teaching staff as well as the students of the school were informed of Mr. Pat Courtney’s passing, which caused a great deal of sadness among all of those who were involved in the school community. The passing of Mr. Pat Courtney caused a great deal of sadness among the teaching staff as well as the students of the school. Pat was a well-known person in these parts, and we looked forward to renewing our acquaintance with him at every opportunity that presented itself. Over the course of several years, he directed anti-bullying workshops and in-services for our children and parents.
In addition, he provided training for our professors and staff members. These events took place in our classrooms and hallways. In addition to that, he provided our administrative and teaching staff with training that they attended. All of these, in their own special ways, were of tremendous assistance to me in accomplishing the objectives, which I had set for myself. Everyone who ever had the honor of being able to call him a friend at some point in their lives will mourn his passing with all of their heart because of the privilege he gave them. Everyone will experience great loss at his passing.
Funeral services and any other necessary preparations for Mr. Courtney’s burial, which will take place later today, will take place this morning. The burial itself will take place later today. The beginning of services is scheduled to begin at nine o’clock in the morning. We want his friends and family to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers always, especially during this extremely difficult time, and we want them to know that we are constantly thinking about and praying for them. Pat (Paddy) Courtney lost his battle with illness on December 4, 2022, and passed away at the Mater Private Hospital after a short period of suffering. He was getting sympathetic care from the trained personnel working in the facility’s medical department. He was a devoted partner to Geraldine and a doting father to Adam, Connor, and Emmet, the three children he and Geraldine shared. Adam, Connor, and Emmet were his and Geraldine’s children. His mother, Anna, along with his brother Colum and sister Niamh, will miss him a great deal. He also leaves behind a legacy of four children. His absence will be felt most keenly by his mother. Even more than he’ll miss, his mother is going to miss having him around.
