Patricia Mitchell Obituary, Death – The driver of one of the vehicles that were involved in an automobile accident on November 29 in Morton was pronounced dead on Saturday, increasing the total number of fatalities that resulted from the event to two. Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood issued a news release in which she stated that as a result of the collision, 84-year-old Harold J. Mitchell, who was driving one of the automobiles, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center for treatment. Even though he was given significant medical attention, he was not able to survive the accident, and he passed away on December 8th, which was four days after the tragedy occurred on December 3rd.

The investigation into the car collision that took place earlier is currently being carried out by both the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois State Police.
