Patrick Fennell Obituary,  Death – On November 22, 2022, Patrick Fennell passed away, leaving behind a lot of loved ones. He was the son of William and Mildred (Thibeault) Fennell and was born on February 25th, 1957. His mother’s maiden name was Thibeault. Patrick was the oldest of seven children and held a special place in everyone’s hearts. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the military right away. During the time that he spent serving our country, he was stationed in the state of Washington as well as in Germany. This served as the impetus for him to relocate to Somerville, Massachusetts, where he obtained a job at the family bar, Paddy’s, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Shortly after that, he moved to Great Barrington, where he eventually established a permanent residence and was able to launch his own prosperous business under the name “Let Me Do It.”

Patrick had a strong interest in the affairs of the local government. He participated in the meetings of the selectman’s office, the Great Barrington Republican Committee, the cable board, and the planning board. In addition, he was a member of both of those boards. Patrick was an enthusiastic contributor to the neighborhood newspaper, he enjoyed playing board games, he was a good laugh, and he enjoyed playing practical jokes.

His siblings, Joan Stillman, Mary Iandoli, Carol Stec, William Fennell II, Alice Naylor, and Stephen Fennell, as well as a number of nieces and nephews, will carry on his legacy after his passing. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11:00am at the Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, which is located at 426 Main Street in Great Barrington, Massachusetts 01230. Donations to the Disabled American Veterans should be sent in care of the Finnerty and Stevens Funeral Home, located at 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, Massachusetts 01230.
