Paul Dunleavey Obituary, Death –  Paul George Dunlavey, who was 80 years old at the time of his death on November 28, 2022, passed away and went on to eternal life. Paul was born in Batavia, New York, on December 11th, and his birthday is on the 11th of December. He is the father of Paul (Becky) Dunlavey, Michael (Nikki) Dunlavey, and Patty (Rich) Dyer. Susan (David) Kalman is married to David Kalman. For the past 58 years, he has been the devoted husband of Diann, whose maiden name was Gray. Matthew (Amanda) and Madeline Dyer, Sarah (Jeremy) Bowling, Grace (Chane) Forsyth, Emily, David, and Faith Kalman; Will, Sam, Ryan, and Nathan Dunlavey; and Jordan Porche, Alixandrea, Joseph, and Rosemary Dunlavey; as well as great-grandchildren Meghan and Connor Bowling,

Father of Patty (Rich) Dyer, Susan (David) Kalman, Paul (Becky) Dunlavey, and Michael (Nikki) Dunlavey. Beloved husband of Diann (nee Gray) for the past 58 years. Matthew (Amanda) and Madeline Dyer, Sarah (Jeremy) Bowling, Grace (Chane) Forsyth, Emily, David and Faith Kalman; Will, Sam, Ryan and Nathan Dunlavey; and Jordan Porche, Alixandrea, Joseph and Rosemary Dunlavey; and great-grandchildren Meghan and Connor Bowling, Asher and Baby due March 2023 Forsyth, and Eliana Dunlavey. Paul adored all of his grandchildren and great Paul Dunlavey was the brother of Ellen (Ed) Podhajsky, Mary Dunlavey, and Jim (Nina) Dunlavey. His parents, Emmet and Helene Dunlavey, as well as his granddaughter Phebe Dunlavey, passed away before he did.

Russell Township was Paul’s home for a good portion of his life. Paul’s favorite things to do when he wasn’t working on growing his company, PVP Industries, Inc., were spending time with his family, going on adventures, and reading voraciously. On Monday, December 5, from 4 to 8 o’clock in the evening, the family and friends of the deceased will be received at the ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME located at 16381 CHILLICOTHE RD. (RT. 306), CHAGRIN FALLS, 44023 (2.5 MILES NORTH OF RT. 422). On Tuesday, December 6, at 10:30 in the morning, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church, which is located at 496 E. Washington Street in Chagrin Falls. The burial will take place at the All Souls Cemetery in Chardon. In lieu of sending flowers, the family asks that you please consider making a donation to either the American Cancer Society or the ALS Foundation in Paul’s memory.

Paul Dunlavey was the brother of Mary Dunlavey, who was married to Jim Dunlavey, and Ellen (Ed) Podhajsky, who was married to Jim Dunlavey. His grandparents Emmet and Helene Dunlavey and his granddaughter Phebe Dunlavey all passed away before he did. He was the last surviving member of his family. The majority of Paul’s life was spent in Russell Township, which he considered to be his community. Spending time with his family, going on adventures, and reading voraciously were three of Paul’s favorite things to do when he wasn’t working to expand his company, PVP Industries, Inc.

On Monday, December 5, the family and friends of the deceased will be received at the ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME which is located at 16381 CHILLICOTHE RD. (RT. 306) in CHAGRIN FALLS, 44023. The visitation will begin at 4 o’clock in the afternoon and continue until 8 o’clock in the evening (2.5 MILES NORTH OF RT. 422). St. Joan of Arc Church, which can be found in Chagrin Falls at 496 E. Washington Street, will host a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 6, at 10:30 in the morning. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday. The funeral and interment will be held at the All Souls Cemetery in Chardon. Instead of sending flowers, the family has asked that you please consider making a donation in Paul’s memory to either the American Cancer Society or the ALS Foundation.
