Phillip DeGioia Obituary, Death – With great sadness in our heart we bring the sad news of Mr. (Phillip) DeGioia was a beloved Life Member of the Savoy Soccer Club, and the club would like to convey its heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time our prayers are with his family. Mr. DeGioia spent his entire life as a member of the Savoy Soccer Club. Mr. DeGioia, who had reached the age of 71 at the time of his departure, died peacefully and serenely at home on Sunday, November 27. During his final moments, he was accompanied by members of his family who had the deepest love and affection for him.
Phillip took the first step toward a successful professional soccer career when he signed with a professional soccer league in 1964. Phillip’s ambition was to have a long and prosperous career. Since then, he has received various awards, including two Premierships, two Best and Fairest Awards, a place on a committee, major volunteer hours, and more. Phillip was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021 in celebration of his 57 years of continuous service to our organization. This honor was bestowed upon him in the year 2021. Phillip was a well-known man and a well-respected member of our organization’s workforce.
We wanted to express our gratitude to Phillip by presenting him with this honor, and as a result, we decided to do so. Phillip’s funeral ceremony will be held in St. Mark’s Cathedral on Wednesday, November 30, at 11:00 a.m. The following are the date and time of the service: The date and time are fixed and cannot be modified.
