On Wednesday, January 14, 1959, he was brought into the world by his parents, Gerald Frederick and Marlene Cline Cartmell, in the city of Huntsville. On Thursday, March 14, 1991, in Berryville, Arkansas, Rick wed Jamie Lynne Bolinger, and the two of them went on to become the parents of three kids together. In his younger days, he worked in the rodeo industry as a cowboy, a team roper, and a clown. In addition to that, he worked as a field man for Cattleman’s Livestock in Harrison while also running a cattle ranch. In his spare time, he enjoyed going on adventures, shooting elk in Colorado, riding his Harley Davidson side-by-side, and traveling. In addition to serving as Trail Boss for the Booger County Cattle Drive for a number of years, he was a member of the Northwest Arkansas Corvette Club. Above all else, Rick treasured the time he could spend with his family, which included his wife, sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren.
Rick’s parents, Gerald and Marlene Cartmell, as well as his brother, Dale Cartmell, passed away before him. Rick did not survive them. He is survived by his wife, Jamie Cartmell; three sons and daughters-in-law, Colton and Brittany Cartmell, Cooper and Haley Cartmell, and Caden and Sierra Cartmell; one granddaughter, Wren Nicole Cartmell; one grandson, Rowdy Chase Cartmell; several nieces and nephews; a loving extended family; and an innumerable number of friends.
