RoseMarie Klimek Obituary, Death – My beautiful wife RoseMarie Louise MacKinnon Klimek, who fought a long battle against aggressive lung cancer since 2014, has passed away. It is with a heavy heart that I announce her passing. Rose, who was 65 years old when she passed away, did so without suffering on December 5, 2022, at the comfort of her home, in the company of her husband and their dog April. On November 20, 1957, Rose Bozek was born in Mission, British Columbia to her parents, Mary and Michael Bozek. Her childhood was spent in Ruskin, while she received her education in Maple Ridge. Rose had previously been married to a man named Jay, with whom she shared a home in Hammond.

In 2006, the two of them moved together to Creston, and Jay passed away the following year. She first met Rick in 2009, and on July 26, 2019, she and Rick finally tied the knot at Destiny Bay, after Rick had successfully completed Rose’s apprenticeship program of courting. Shooting, pool, and bowling were all sports in which Rose competed at a high level. Her favorite things in life were visiting new places, spending time with her grandchildren, working as a courier, and tending bar at the Rotacrest for the senior’s dances. Rose had a warm personality, was known for her compassionate nature, and was a talented cook. She had a passion for people, and the vast majority of them appeared to adore and know her. She had a soft spot in her heart for all kinds of animals, but especially for her dog April and her cat Tara.

Rose’s parents, Mary and Michael Bozek, as well as her first husband, Jay, all passed away before her. Rose will be remembered fondly by her husband Rick, daughter Jessica, son Jason, stepchildren Ela and Ryan (Alisha), foster daughter Amanda “Chic” (Jason), and grandchildren Macie, Knox, Wren, Xena, Ryder, and Evelyn. In addition, Rose’s stepchildren Ela and Ryan (Alisha) will always have a special place in Rose’s heart. So many people are going to miss having Rose around. Her beam of cheerfulness could brighten any environment. The time has come for us to part, my lovely Rose. There will not be a service held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made by friends to the Ronald McDonald House of British Columbia and the Yukon, which is located at 4567 Heather Street in Vancouver, British Columbia V5Z 0C9, Canada.
