Russell Bancroft Obituary, Death – Russell Bancroft, who had been our Treasurer for a number of years before to his untimely death on Monday, December 5, 2022, had served in that capacity for many years. The Historical Society is sorry to inform you of this news because it is accompanied by a great deal of sadness; we apologize for the inconvenience. During this trying time, we will continue to keep Emily and her family in our thoughts and prayers, and we want to offer them our most sincere condolences for the loss of their loved one.
On the 16th of December, at 9:30 in the morning, His Wake will be held at Cebula’s Funeral Home, which can be found at 66 South Street in the town of Ware. This location can be found in the town of Ware. After this, there will be a service performed at St. Mary’s Church, which can be found at 59 South Street. The service will begin at eleven in the morning. Immediately following the ceremony, those in attendance are cordially invited to a reception that will take place in the Hardwick Town House, which can be found at 40 Common Street in the hamlet of Hardwick.
In lieu of sending flowers, please consider making a donation in Russell Bancroft’s name to the Hardwick Historical Society, which can be found at 40 Common Street, Hardwick, Massachusetts 01037; or to St. Mary’s Church. Both of these organizations can be found in the same town. These two groups can be seen operating out of the same location in the same town.
