Shane Allison Obituary, Death – We regret to inform you of Shane Andrew Allison’s untimely death. Please accept our deepest sympathies. Shane died on November 29, 2022, after being born in Kirkland Lake on May 13, 1970, and living there until his death. Debra (Graham) Allison, the woman he loved the most in the world, and his two beautiful daughters, Stefany (Keith) and Darian Allison, survive him. Jett and Bowie, his two grandchildren, will never recover from the loss of their incredible grandfather. Patrick and Anita Allison, as well as his brother Justin Allison, will be deeply saddened by his death. He was their only child. His devoted mother-in-law, Muriel Graham, will be saddened by the loss of his treasured visits.

Shane valued and did not take for granted his time spent on the ice or at the ball field with his friends. Because of his love of sports, he was able to form many meaningful friendships. However, he was happiest when he was out on the golf course with his friends; he referred to this as his “happy place.” During his career, Shane spent a significant amount of time away from his family and at the lake. He was overjoyed to have been given the opportunity to return home and be closer to his loved ones. Because of his unwavering commitment and friendly demeanor, he has earned the respect and affection of all of his coworkers.

Shane’s contagious grin and playful demeanor made the world a better and happier place for all of us. Everyone who knew him admired him for being such a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and best friend to so many. After spending time with Shane, you could always count on leaving with a smile on your face or a good story to tell. Regardless of the circumstances, this was true.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kirkland Lake Golf Club (P.O. Box 205, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3H7.) On Tuesday, December 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., there will be a visitation at Heritage North (located at 400 Government Road West in Kirkland Lake). At 1:30 p.m., a memorial service will be held. Please feel free to bring your family to these events.
