Toby Walker Obituary, Death – We hate to let you know that Toby Walker, a former member, passed away. Please keep Toby and his family in your prayers, as we kindly request. Toby J. Walker, 44, of Endwell, New York, fell away suddenly at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, New York, on November 26, 2022. Toby was conceived on February 23, 1978, in Cortland, New York. After graduating from Dryden Central School in 1996, he began working as a baseball umpire with the Binghamton Umpire Diamond Group. He was referred to as the “Snack Man” at the Maine Endwell School, where he also worked in food service.

Toby was an avid sports lover who adored baseball. He was a member of the United College Umpire and has officiated games for the Cooperstown Dream Park and the National College Club Baseball Association (NCBA). He formerly worked with the fire departments in Lansing and Harford. Toby was a born comedian who delighted in making people grin and laugh. His numerous friends and family will miss him dearly. His only survivors are his wife Megan Carman Walker and their sons Tannor and Braden Walker, all of whom continue to reside at home.

A number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins are also left behind, in addition to his mother Audrey (Lynn) Rider of Harford, his brothers Joseph (Sharon) Walker of Ashville and Brian (Christi) Rider of Mount Pleasant, NC, his in-laws Kathy Carman of Ithaca and Carla Carman of Zephyrhills, FL, and a number of other nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Raymond “Scooter” Walker, and his father-in-law, Bill Carman. There will be a service for Toby at a later day and location. The family kindly asks that you watch Maine Endwell High School defend its NYS football championship against Pleasantville High School on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at noon at the Carrier Dome in honor of Toby.
