Tom Garrett Obituary, Death – May you, Tom Garrett, finally find the peace you seek in death. Georgia Lacrosse lost a special man. Tom was a well-known and respected member of the Pope community, where he was also active in the booster club and held the presidency. Tom had a sizeable influence on the local populace and how they lived their lives. This program flourished under his leadership, and he channeled the enthusiasm that he has for the sport into the work that he did with it. He was very concerned about the development of lacrosse, as well as the welfare of the players, coaches, and officials, and he made efforts to increase participation in the sport across the entirety of the state of Georgia.
It is impossible for anyone else to match his level of expertise, as well as his enthusiasm and sense of humor during the game. Tom, please be aware that we do not stop thinking about you and that we will always keep you in our hearts. The Garrett family is in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time, and we want them to know how sorry we are for the loss of their loved one. We became accustomed to seeing our good friend and coworker, Tom Garrett, smiling on a variety of lacrosse fields located throughout the Southeast over the course of more than a decade. Tom was a die-hard supporter of the team in question.
Tom’s efforts and experiences contributed to the growth of the lacrosse community in the South, which is evidence that he was a genuine supporter of the sport of lacrosse. In addition, the growth of the lacrosse community in the South occurred during Tom’s lifetime. Tom was an exceptional referee who helped a large number of coaches and players by imparting his knowledge and ensuring a secure setting in which to compete. He did this by sharing his knowledge and ensuring a safe environment. He accomplished this by removing any potential dangers from the game in any way he could.
We are saddened by the passing of our friend, but we take solace in the fact that the Southeast lacrosse community is in a better place as a direct result of his unwavering commitment to ensuring that the job was done correctly. This provides us with some measure of comfort. We want Tom’s family and friends to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time together with Tom. Tom, we are going to miss having you out on the lacrosse field with us and playing the game with us. I pray that you find eternal rest.
