Travis Lucas Obituary, Death – Travis Jacob Lucas, age 27, of Glendale, California, lost his valiant struggle against cancer that lasted seven years and passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022 at his home after battling the disease for seven years. For the previous seven years, he had been putting up a struggle against the sickness. He fought for a cause in which we believed, and as a result, he earned the title of becoming our hero. The Open Valley United Missionary Baptist Church was his church of choice throughout the entirety of his life, and he never missed a service there.
Basketball, singing, painting, and most of all surprising oblivious people were some of his favorite hobbies, but he especially enjoyed surprising people. The year 2013 was the one in which he received his diploma from Hart County High School, and 2013 was also the year in which he received his diploma. The man’s grandfather on his mother’s side, Donald Lucas, had already passed away before the man was even born, so he never got to meet him. His parents, Travis Lucas and Chastity Lucas, who live in Glendale, are among those who will miss him and carry on his legacy.
His sister, Jalyn Lucas, who lives in Campbellsville, and his grandparents, Bonnie Lucas and Furland and Wyonia Butler, who also live in Campbellsville, are also among those who will carry on his legacy. Jalyn is the name of Travis and Chastity Lucas’s kid, who they have together. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 6 at 11 a.m. at the Open Valley United Missionary Baptist Church in Hardin County.
Bro. Malcom and Bro. Jeff Doyle will serve as the officiating clergy for the service. After the funeral ceremonies have come to a close, the body will be laid to rest at the cemetery that is adjacent to the church. Visitation will begin at the church on Monday, December 5 from 4 to 8 p.m., and it will continue the following morning at 9 a.m., on the day of the ceremony, when the church will once again be open for business. The visitation will take place at the church.
