Wendy Jo Neet Obituary, Death – Wendy Jo Neet passed away peacefully in the confines of her own home in Cave Springs, Arkansas, on the evening of Monday, December 5, 2022. She was 69 years old. The 15th of February 1953 found her making her debut into the world in Mexico, Missouri. Her parents, Reed and Frances Schmickle, were her parents, and she was their daughter. College High in Pittsburg, Kansas, awarded her high school graduation in 1971. She went on to further her studies at Pittsburg State University and got a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from that institution in 1976.
She began her career as a teacher at the USD 250 school system, where she worked until the year 2008 when she took early retirement. After that, she became a teacher and spent the next seven years working in the USD 246 school district. She completely uprooted her life and moved to Cave Springs, Arkansas, in the year 2016. For the past four and a half years, she has held the position of librarian at the Rogers Public Library.
On Saturday the 18th of August in 1973, Wendy tied the knot with Bruce Neet, the guy who would go on to become the love of her life, the one who would be her one and only. They were blessed with not one, not two, but all three of the most extraordinary children in the history of the world. Reed and Franny, her parents, both passed away before she did, and she was unable to spend any more time with them.
Wendy is survived by her husband, Bruce, her children, Whitney Stone (Josh) of Centerton, Jed Neet (Karli) of Fayetteville, and Chelsea Shoemaker (Adam) of Baldwin City, Kansas, as well as her five beautiful blue-eyed grandchildren, Kage, Baela, Reed, Claire, and Levon, and her three sisters, Jennifer Hightower, Sara Kirker, and Jane Bever.
