Wilf Jones Obituary, Death – Everyone at Swansea RFC is in a state of mourning due to the unexpected passing of Wilf Jones, who was a beloved member of the club. In addition, as a consequence of Wilf Jones’s passing, the club is in a state of disbelief at the moment.
Wilf was a member of Swansea’s first XV from 1948 until 1953, and during that time he played in 77 different matches while he was with the squad. Wilf’s tenure with the team was from 1948 until 1953. During the 1951–1952 season, despite the fact that he only played in 23 of the season’s 42 games, he finished the year as the top point scorer.
This was the case despite the fact that he only participated in the season. This achievement was reached in spite of the fact that he participated in only 23 of the season’s games. Even though he played in only 16 of the team’s 40 games during that season, he was the team’s regular goal kicker, and he finished the year in second place in the standings for goals scored, trailing only Len Davies. In spite of the fact that he only participated in 16 of those games, he was the team’s regular goal kicker.
In later years, he was given the opportunity to further his career and was given the job of club accountant, which he maintained for a substantial length of time. He continued to hold this position for a considerable amount of time. He spent a good deal of time in this role during the course of his career.
Before we start playing on Saturday, there will be a moment of silence in honor of Wilf and Chopper, and we will offer our sympathies to Wilf’s family. The death of Chopper occurred earlier this week. During this trying time, the family of Wilf is in everyone’s thoughts and prayers as they continue to grieve their loss.
